Fields in Core

The effort to integrate parts of CCK with Drupal core is commonly referred to as "Fields in Core", but the result will provide much more than CCK currently provides as a contributed module.

As one of the participants of the "Fields in Core" coding sprint which was hosted by Acquia in December, I will expand on the following key points:

• What will be integrated with core
• Key architectural decisions were made
• New concepts
• New possibilities
• The coding sprint experience

At the time of this session proposal the coding sprint just ended. The content of the presentation will of course be updated to reflect the latest status for the integration work.

This presentation will be fairly technical, familiarity with PHP and MySQL is recommended.
